Understanding Injectable Fillers
Fillers, offered as such brand names; Belotero, Juvederm, Radiesse, Restylane, Restylane Lyft, Restylane Silk, Voluma, and Volbella, is one of the quickest and safest ways to remove the signs of aging by adding volume. As we age, we lose collagen, soft tissue, and bone mass in the face, and gravity also takes its toll. Fillers can be used to improve:
- Loss of volume in your cheeks and lower face
- “Lip Stick” lines around your mouth
- Nasolabial folds and marionette lines

What can I expect?
You will go into the procedure with a detailed plan created by yourself and Dr. Ridha. The procedure is unique to every patient, but most include the following steps.
Injections of filler typically take less than half an hour. The number of injections required depends on a patient’s unique facial features and the extent of facial aging. Topical anesthetic and/or dental blocks are used to decrease discomfort during the injections.
During the procedure, Dr. Ridha uses a thin needle to inject filler into specific, pinpoint areas of your face. The science is in the syringe, and Dr. Ridha applies it with the skill of an artist to erase years off your face; giving you a more youthful appearance.
While the initial outcome of fillers is noticeable almost immediately, it may be obscured by visible swelling that will resolve in a few days. The improvement typically lasts from 5 months to a year depending on which fillers you and Dr. Ridha choose during your consultation.
